Prince William Reacts to BBC Investigation Into Infamous Princess Diana Interview – E! NEWS

Journalist Martin Bashir allegedly used phony bank declarations to convince Diana to agree to be spoken with for BBC Panorama. The allegations caused the media organization to hire independent investigators to “get to the fact” of the infamous royal interview, selecting previous Supreme Court judge Lord Dyson to lead the mission.

The Duke of Cambridge is stated to be “tentatively” inviting the investigation.

William was about 13 years old when his mothers Panorama interview came out.

Prince William is weighing in after a BBC reporter was implicated of forging files in order to secure an explosive interview with Princess Diana in 1995..

In a statement released by Kensington Palace and obtained by E! News on Nov. 18, Prince William said, “The independent investigation is a step in the best instructions.” The 38-year-old daddy included, “It needs to help develop the fact behind the actions that caused the Panorama interview and subsequent choices taken by those in the BBC at the time.”.
